Frequently asked questions
How do I accept card payments in Haiti?
Create a free Freda Pay account, then create a payment link, install a plugin (WooCommerce, Wix) or call the API with method "carte". Your customer enters their card on a secure page and you receive the confirmation. You can test for free in Sandbox mode.
Which cards are accepted?
Visa and Mastercard, paid in USD. The payment form also offers Amazon Pay, Cash App and Link depending on the customer's country. Final acceptance depends on the card's issuing bank.
What are the fees for card payments?
Per successful payment: 7% + $0.50 on the Standard plan, 6% + $0.50 on Pro and 5% + $0.50 on Business. The minimum card payment is $0.50.
Does Freda Pay work in Africa and worldwide?
Yes. Card payments let customers worldwide, including Africa, pay securely, and we work with businesses worldwide. MonCash and Natcash are for customers in Haiti. To enable cards in Live mode, contact issuing@fredapay.com.
Is Freda Pay the same as FedaPay?
No. Freda Pay Issuing (Freda Pay LLC, Wyoming, USA) is a different company from FedaPay (fedapay.com).
